Dryer just stopped working took a load out and went to restart nothing? checked continuity on almost everything I could find. checked voltage from term A on timer 117v checked voltage term C 117 v. What next?

Here are your parts Replacement parts for Maytag AED4475TQ1 29" ELECTRIC DRYER | AppliancePartsPros.comSee the attachment for the wiring diagram. I am assuming you checked voltage from Neutral to the timer connections. Check that there is voltage on B of the timer. When you checked for continuity did you disconnect one side of the device you were checking? This ensures that you are not reading an alternate/parallel circuit path. Also use your most sensitive meter scale, usually 200 ohms. The only things that matter are the door switch, the push to start switch and the thermal fuse. If the thermal fuse is blown check/clean your vent system as that is the most common cause of it blowing. If all OK then check your motor windings. |
