When i run a load in my dishwasher a film is left on my dishes that are on the bottom rack. Also a good amount of water is left in the bottom of the dishwasher. We just purchased a Gasket for the pump and the flapper for the drain. This did not solve the problem.
What would be the reason why the water is not fully draining? Is that why the dishes on the bottom rack is left with a film on them?

What would be the reason why the water is not fully draining? Since you replaced the flapper I am assuming that you checked the drain pump to be sure it's impeller was clear/clean. I would disconnect the drain at the house plumbing and drain it into a pail, this will eliminate the house plumbing as a possible cause. Be sure to hold the drain line securely in the pail and put a towel over it so it does not splash all over. A common place for plugs is where the drain line conects to the house plumbing. If it still does not drain correctly work your way back through the drain system. If it is all OK then odds are your drain pump needs replacing. A film is often due to hard water so can be related to the type or amount of detergent. Or running without any rinse agent. I still think the best detergent is the old fashioned powder |
