it washes and drains but it will not spin

it is most likely the drive coupling this is located under the washer it lies between the motor and the gear case.It,s not an expensive part [20] dollars or less.

Yes it agitates and drains and makes a humming noise when it goes into the spin cycle. I can turn the inside drum but it still will not spin
|

Pull off washer by removing panel screws and retainer clips. Short the lid switch and run washer in spin.Look above transmission to see if the clutch housing is turning, if so, you have a bad clutch, if not you have a stripped nylon gear in the tranny. Post results.
