Hi,
Disconnecting and taking out Ice maker from freezer will not effect how your refrigerator works.
May I ask why you want to remove it?

May I ask why you want to remove it? It just gives me more room in the fridge since its not used. My fridge is not cooling up top i have to defrost fins to get it to cool again. Ive had to do this 2 times already. hoping that removing the ice maker wasn't causing this issue even though i took it out after this occured. do you have an idea of what it could be?

Quote:is the Jazz board the contrl board? Yes it is the same board. I have no idea how handy you are, but I feel it's a fairly simple part to replace.

It includes some troubleshooting information that you may find helpful.
