My ice dispenser just makes a click (as it activates the chute) but the "motor crusher disp" does not turn. With the door open, I removed the ice bin, held down the door switch and then hit the switch on the front of the door to get ice and all the happens is the motor hums and the plastic part that opens the chute jumps.

Today, I just replaced the Motor crusher disp, Part Number: AP4339505 made by GE and still the same problem. Is there a solenoid that could be causing the motor to not get the right juice?

Thanks in advance.

I'll answer my own question: Today I installed a new control board, Part Number: AP2071638 and that solved the problem.

Hi Jim,

Perform the troubleshooting as described in one of our previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...-maker-quit-working.html and post the results.

Gene.
