my neptune washer made a loud noise during the wash cycle and blew a circuit breaker. When I reset the breaker, there was no power to the washer (the control was blank). I plugged it into another outlet and made sure it was hot, but still no power to the control panel. I had to pull the green emergency "string" to open the door and get clothes out. Any idea what failed? I first thought that it was the motor control board, but would this kill the control panel?

If you are getting power to the control board but nothing happens then the control board is the first place to look for the problem. Use a meter to make sure you have current at the control unit.

i have 120v to the control board and 24V and 5V coming out of the transformer. I don't see any obvious burns on the cirduit board. The motor control board also looks undamaged and all three motor ohms check out OK. Any ideas?

Here is a link to the service manual for your unit which will tell you how to do testing and what the voltages should be

https://docs.google.com/viewer?a...jRkZTQ1OWNm&hl=en_US.

Your model is covered in detail at the back of the manual, it just doesn't say so in the table of contents.
