The Timer on the Automatic settings for high heat or permanent press does not count down. It works fine on the timed dry or air fluff settings. It is a new timer that was just replaced. The vent is clean I removed it all cleaned and replaced and still no change. I got out my ohm meter and started checking my readings are as follows
High limit thermostat 00.3 ohms Thermal fuse on burner side 00.3 ohms these two are connected together with a black jumper and a red wire on one side of each one.
Dryer thermal fuse on exhaust side light blue wires 00.3 ohms Dryer cycling thermostat has 4 wires two red two purple across the red 00.3 ohms across the purple 7.11 ohms.
If anyone can let me know if these are correct readings or if there is somewhere else to look please let me know.
Thanks 68Vert

Upon further reviewI found out that when the dryer is empty the timer works when the burner is not lit. When the burner is lit the timer stops. When there are clothes in the dryer the timer does not work in the automatic cycles. I found this out by looking at the back of the new timer it has a little round sight window in which you can see a blue ring/dial which spins when the timer is running. I hope this can help in the diagnosis.
Thanks
