This oven never worked right from day one. It was in the home when I purchased it new. My bad for not following up during warranty. Symptom, the oven does not hold a temp. The oven is either on, or off. It does not stop at any temp on the dial. If I try to adjust the temperature, the oven hits a point where it just turns off.

Any help apprreciated
Dave Cappy.

Hi Dave

The first thing I would check is the oven igniter. If it takes more then a minute to light up the burner, then the igniter is bad and has to be replaced.

If there is nothing wrong with the oven igniter then the the problem is a bad thermostat.

Gene, Thanks much for the quick response, and advice. Since the oven ignites in 20-30 seconds, I have ordered the thermostat. Having trouble finding a repair manual. this does seem as though it would be pretty straight forward to replace though. Thanks Again !!!

Gene, Part arrived Tuesday, replaced thermostat, oven now works beautifully. I tested temps 300, 350, 425, all 3 spot on. Thanks for the advice. Turkey beware :-)
