1 of 2 things are going on...
1. your fan is not turning fast enough, causing poor air circulation. You should be able to hear the fan turning real good, moving air. If it is not turning very fast, you may have a bad fan....You will also notice like frozen water droplets on the back wall of the freezer...
2. The evaperator is caked full of compacted snow/ice that it is not letting the fan pull air through it properly, to check this, yes you need to remove the back panel. It's held on by like 2 or 4 screws..pretty easy
2.

My 1st instinct based on warm temps up top and cold temps low, is the fan not turning like it should, but I'm not there to look, so I need you to check things.

Down at the bottom of the evaperator coils is a defrost heater, you can look at the glass tube, if it is blackened or greenish in color or both, the heater needs to be replaced. What you need to do now is turn the fridge off, get a hairdryer and melt all that ice, and if the heater is bad, you can order the heater, WR51x10101. After all the ice is melted, put the back panel back on. Your refer will work like normal for the next week to week and a half, enough time for you to get the heater and put it in.
