Does anyone know why about once a month I have to keep replacing the thermal fuse on the Kitchen Aid dishwasher? Are there some issues with this machine that anyone knows about. I did replace the wiring harness and it still blows about once a month???

Check that the water entering the unit is at least 120 degrees F. |

The water entering the dishwasher is not 120 because this unit is in a licensed RCC building which restricts the water temp to 110. Is this a big deal? Thanks

I really cannot say how big of a deal this is but it is what is recommended by the manufacturer.
If you have a long run from the hot water line, the water cools down in that line and then on top of that you are putting in water that is below spec.
Since the fuse blowing is intermittent, it is a difficult thing to troubleshoot.
One thing you could try is if the dishwasher is near a sink and connected to that hot water line run hot water at the sink before running the dishwasher. If the fuse never blows then odds are the water temperature is an issue. |
