Gene. Nice one day shipping from this site! Installed the board, we'll see what happens. BTW, for anyone Googling on where is part number ap4411082 (also known as 2307028 from Sears), it is a little tricky: Remove back lower panel on fridge, on the left, next to compressor is a gray plastic inverter box. Remove the one screw that holds that in, then slide the gray box out . Further left is a grounding wire attached to the vertical frame. Remove that. Now look closely, you will see a single screw holding in what looks to be a plate on the interior left of the area you are working on. That actually holds a box that contains the control board (the board is held in place by white plastic retainers, which you release by squeezing with pliers).

Gene,
I have been following your troubleshooting guide as a first step process in figuring out what is wrong with my unit.
Here is a post I supplied on the open forum, please help!
Whirlpool
Full Model Number: ED22DQXEN01
There is no frost on the back panel of the freezer.
Removing the panel in the back of the freezer, the coils have a little frost on them.
I turned the defrost timer clockwise till it clicked.
There were no sizziling noise, however the coils began to defrost and drip.
I would assume the heater is working properly.
Both the freezer and fridg. temps are turned on full.
I do not get very much cool air coming from the vents n the fridge, and the temp is not very cool at all in the fridge, the freezer still maintains frozen food.
Would you need to know any more details at this point?
NOW WHAT?

Hi,
I have a 4 yr old GE Monogram side-by-side refrigerator, model ZFSB25DTASS.
With the set temp at 0 for freezer / 37 for frige, the actual temp is 0/40.
I tried to set the temp to 0/35, the actual temp is then 2/37.
Do I have a faulty damper control?
There's no frost build up on the back panel in the freezer.

Before we'll proceed with the diagnosis I need you to measure the exact temperature in both compartments, using a refrigerator mercury thermometer.

Gene, where can I buy a refrigerator mercury thermometer?
I guess I'll try Bed Bath Beyond tomorrow. Digital one okay or stick with mercury?
