I bought this microwave a while back, and finally got around to installing it last week. Before I did, i plugged it in to check that it is working, and all the lights and display came up, the only thing i didnt check is whether it heats or not. Now that i put it up, it does not heat, at all.
Everything else works fine, except that i cannot get the nite-lite feature to turn off, so the light is always on, even though i set it to off in the options. BTW, it is not mounted over a cooktop, so it is not exposed to heat.

Model number is JVM1851BH06 manuf. in July 2006

THANKS!

The mag still has some warranty left on it. but it could have a bad board there is a mini manual inside control panel for diagnostics and system checks.

I am also having issues getting my microwave to heat. The turntable comes on as well as light. Everything seems normal, just no heat.

Hi Jessica,

Most likely the problem is a bad magnetron. You have to remove the microwave from the cabinet in order to access the part.

- The part number for the magnetron is AP2025937

Here are the break down diagrams for the GE microwave Model JVM1340WW02

Ok. I am back, with some time over the next day to try and fix this.

To answer the question that was asked: Yes, the turntable does come on.

Now, I took the MW down, but i do not have a diagram to start opening it. If anyone can point me in the right direction so i can start diagnosing it, that would be great.

Thanks!
