When the start button is depressed dryer does not start. Checked all combinations of cycle settings and nothing happens. Checked the circit breaker and cleaned the vent trap and exhause vent/hose. Could this be a fuse problem?

Yes, it could be a bad thermal fuse (#7 on the diagram). You can check it for continuity or, if you know how to work under power, you can bypass it. You can bypass it for the test purpose only. - The thermal fuse Part number: AP3132867
