Good evening. I was having some problems with my washer giving off a burning rubber smell and at times the clothes would come out very wet. I ordered a new belt for my machine. It came in today so I put it on. I also decided to pull the pump out to make sure there was nothing stuck in there as well as cleaning it out. The problem I have is that I don;t remember where the the black wire lands or the white w/red stripe wire lands on the pump. I followed the black up and it goes to R21, so I am assuming the white w red stripe is the nuetral, but the pump does not have a label at to which is the nuetral or hot. Or does it matter? I greatly appreciate any assistance I receive.
