You can also purchase appliance parts, including Kitchen Aid, right here on this site, enter your model number here. Prices are great and delivery is very fast, even economy ground. I will try to have a short video made on how to take these doors apart soon.

Here is a short clip that shows how to remove the inner door panel on most microwaves. Hope it helps.

I'm new here. :)
I have a Whirlpool MH1150XMS. We're having the same trouble; can't get the handle on. Will the same technique you've listed here apply to us as well?
Thank you.

Same problem, slightly different model. I have a KitchenAid KHMS155LSS-1 microwave. I removed the inner frame (#2 in the drawing in this thread) as shown in the Youtube video but the screws holding the handle in seem to be on the other side of the inner door. Now that I look again, this is exactly what's shown in the picture. How do I get to the other side of the door so I can access the screws holding the handle?
Incidentally, I tore the inner frame into a couple pieces while trying to get it out. Grr.

 I am havinng the same problem that gfunkdave. I have the same model, KHMS155LSS-1 with the broken handel. I took out the inner fram following the video and there is no access to the handel screws. I also tore the inner frame. I will appreciate if the Adm/APP Team can tell me if there is a specific diagram for the KHMS155LSS-1.

The door diagrams for the KHMS155LSS1 and KHMS155LSS0 are absolutely identical. I hope the instructions from the Service manual (page 4-27) will help you to better understand how to disassemble the door. Gene.

just bought the replacement handle for the GE Advantium SCA1001FSS.
After removing part# 1805 there is only access to the upper handle screw. The lower screw is behind a second inner panel. I removed the 6 screws from this inner panel, but I can't get it to budge. It seems like a lot of people don't have access to the 2nd(lower) screw. The advice I keep seeing is to look at the video (to remove the inner panel) which does not solve the problem. Any further input from the kind experts would be appreciated.

I am sure that the people that had the problem replacing the door handles on the Kitchen Aid Model KHMS155Lss-1 never got their problem resolved and probably had to resort to a service call. I have looked at the video and the schematics and they do not portray the Kitchen Aid Model KHMS155Lss-1 in question. That's why everyone keeps breaking the inner panel. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem? It must be something specific to this model.:eek::eek::eek:
