My washer fills with water goes through the wash cycle then stops. I bought the timer in back of the onoff button but it still is doing the same thing. I can sometimes pull the switch by hand and turn it to another cycle to go through the spin. any ideas what part i might need?

So the washer motor works in agitate, but then shuts off, or does it shut off at the spin period???

the machine stops and then i jiggle the knob to different cycles and it works sometimes and goes through the cycle.

i order a new timer switch but it does the same thing. Washes the clothes but does not go through the whole cycle. so i have to adjust the switch to another ccycle and it might go through the wash cycle as long as i adjust the knob right. what next

If timer was changed then check pressure switch, pump and how drain hose is installed.

which pressure switch? The pump works because if and when it runs through any cycle it does drain the water. The hose is fine.

check the lid switch it may be a coincidence from you leaning on the lid while your messing around with the timer causing pressure on the lid and making it work
