The gasket on my freezer door won't seal at the bottom. The door looks to be mounted properly. This problem started a few months ago. I have ordered the replacement freezer door gaske but can't see how to get the old gasket off and the new on. Is this ust a bayonet fit? I see no screws anywhere to loosen. The exploded drawing isn't clear enough. I can just yank the old off but don't want to unless I have a reasonable hance to get the new one on!

Most of the new friges have a channel in the door and the gaskets just snap in them the old school ones had a zillion screws going around the gasket

We have the old one with the screws, but i am not sure if we need a new gasket or if it is not sealing due to some other problem.

You have a door closing cam which could cause your problem. The cam raises the door 1/4 inch when it's opened and this helps close the door. If it's broken the gasket can be distorted or damaged. Inspect the action of the door to determine if this is your problem.
