I'm trying to do a cross reference over to the manufacturer (Whirlpool)for a wiring diagram. the 628519 is the old part number the newer version is 8201515.

when i put in either number the same one comes up if you enlarge the picture the part # is 628519 oh and the new i m came with the on and off bar my old one didnt have that

yes, they just changed one thing on the 1st version and gave it a whole new number with a better piece. As a warranty company we aren't supposed to use the old number. That's all.

John,
I finially found the one I've been looking for. This is a service tech sheet on the optics for the ice maker.
Sorry it took so long, they post a lot of stuff for us to use.

im not sure how to jump the wires but when i open the door the led flashes twice and when i close the little door on the left to line up the optics its solid red and if i depress the freezer light switch to turn the freezer light off then the led light goes off

From what you told me you probably should, appears you had IM problems & emitter issues too.

had the wrong thermostat in it oops now its working fine plenty of ice i just need to adjust the size on the little screw thanks a million you do a great service for us all again thank you
