looking for a generic brand to replace thermostat. are there any

I do not know of any. I am not sure why you are looking for a generic as the thermostat looks like it is in stock Part number: AP2023080
Click on the picture for more info. You could get the manufactures part number off the part and then use the internet to try and find a generic Or If you are trying to find a lower cost unit all I can suggest is the you remove the thermostat (be sure to label the wires) and take it to a local appliance parts supply house. If you get a knowledgeable counter person they may be able to supply a close match. What is important is: 1. The type/size of knob shaft. 2. The mounting holes 3. The temperature range 4. If the unit has self clean And perhaps a couple things I have not thought of. Note: That most places will not let you return electrical parts so if you get something that does not do the job you may be stuck with it. With luck perhaps someone has a cross reference for thermostats. If they do I would be very interested in getting it. |
