I have a Maytag LAt9700aal washer and noticed when it was washing, agitating, spinning the dial/timer would not advance. I had to turn dial by hand to get it to go to next cycle. The dial felt funny and made no sound at some points when I tried to turn.
Could this be a lid switch issue or is it thetimer.
Thanks

Without a model number I am guessing here, but since it works there is nothing mechanically wrong, and that suggests replacing the timer as the repair.

hI: Model number is listed in post LAt9700aal. I tried to fix with just the motor for the timer but did not work. I will have to buy entire timer I guess

Yes, go ahead and replace the entire timer. If you purchase from this site (we who respond are not associated with APP or its parts operations) and it does not fix the problem you can return it. See the returns policy for requirements.
