Yeah...I would have kept calling and trying to find someone that knew about this replacement program, but I was starting to get hungry and tired of eating crackers.
Just came across a post from another forum that mentioned an actual recall letter regarding this problem. The post only listed a clip from the letter:
"Recent analysis has discovered a potential problem with the main circuit board on a limited number of refrigerator models, which could lead to lower than anticipated life expectancy on that component. Therefore, if the main circuit board fails, GE Consumer & Industrial will replace this part free of charge to the consumer until further notice."
But I can't seem to find the full document anywhere. Do you have a .pdf of the recall letter, or know of a link where we can find it??

There is no public notification and there is no recall just for clarification, so no .pdf or recall letter

abadfish66 I also am having problems with my GE side by side stainless fridge. I started hearing a clicking noise and the fan was not turning. A friend of mine said replace the motor so I did. It started to work but then stopped again. Now the clicking has started up again and I'm noticing the condenser is getting hot. When the clicking starts and the fan is stopped nothing inside is keeping cold. I've been reading that it may be the board? what's your opinion? The Model # is GE GSH25JSRFSS. It was bought December 2006
