maytag washer serial number 16846195ax : problem water does fill the washer on the timer fill cycle.Replaced water valve hot / cold.Had no effect on washer.Checked voltage across hot and cold solenoid valve.Could not detect voltage at solenoid valve unless using washer body used as ground.Detected approximately 100-108 volts at the hot and cold water solenoid valve. No ground at solenoid valve that i could see.It appears the neutral side is not completing the circuit when testing across the solenoid connectors ie no voltage reading.

Noticed the washer pumps out on the final rinse cycle and the agitator is working on that cycle.Otherwise no water filling the tub on the first cycle.

The power ground wire is daisy chained at different places in the washer, you will need to ohm the connections starting at the power cord and ending at the solenoid.

Thanks for the info will check the neutral from the power supply to the solenoid.Could the timer have a short on the neutral side and that is why i am not getting 120 volts at the solenoid cross connectors. The hot side of the timer is sending 120 volts while the timer is on and the timer is rotated through the wash cycle ie continuous voltage to the solenoid valve. Is this a timer problem.
