I like the frig but you can get aq brand new Whirlpool 25 cu ft. at Fry's for $599. That might be a smarter move ? I understand about the compressor being cool that it is not working. It's sorta like friction heating. When we used to pick up more ice on the leading edges of the Boeing jets, you just increaded your airspeed and friction burned it off. Will let you know what happens. Hank Well I just had a service guy out ( foreigner and hard to understand of course ) and he said I needed a new compressor where his price was 298.15 and yours is only something like 187.oo and recharge the system was $129.00 and labor was $299.00 so you see where that is going. I can get a brand new Whirlpool 25 cu. foot for $599 this week at Fry's. Think I'm gonna go that route and not buy their service police as it's usuall a racket. Oh yes, the guy wanted something additional to clean the condenser coils saying they used a special spray on them. Gonna go and look at that whirlpool now. Hank
