Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/20/2008(UTC) Posts: 1		I have a GE XL44 stove that the oven recently stopped working. There was a strong odor of gas. I took out the bottom tray and turned the oven on, the igniter was glowing and the burners did light up. I reassembled the oven and it worked for a couple more weeks and then failed to light again with a strong gas odor. It appears the igniter is working, do I need to replace it or something else? Thanks

In order to access the part remove the oven floor, the flame spreader and the bottom drawer. - The part number for the igniter is AP2014008 Here are the break down diagrams for the GE range Model JGBP90MEA2BC Gene.
