My dryer makes a noise when I press the start button and shuts off in approximately 5 minutes. If I press the start button again it makes a buzzing noise and the machine won't turn on. If I wait about 15 minutes it will do the same thing. I checked the belt, drum rollers and idler pulley and they all look good. I haven't taken the blower wheel off or the drive motor. Thanks for your help.

These are classic signs of a failing motor, and I think replacing the machine rather than repairing it is the better option.

I purchased the motor and have received it already. When I installed it, the nut on the back side of the motor moves around even after I put the clamps on. I also took the blower wheel off an cleaned it. Now after putting it back together it makes a loud noise. If the motor is not installed should that nut be able to move around. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your help. I fixed the problem. The motor wasn't in the groove in the back. Once in the machine works like it is brand new.
