I have a leak in the back of my frig. I have cut off the water source and it has stopped and when I turn the water source back on. It appears to be the valve itself or the plastic hoses. It's very hot back there. My guess is it's the valve but I can't really figure it out. The valve is part # AP319262 it appears. But I'd hate to buy a new valve, install it and then the problem be elsewhere. Also, how difficult is the installation of the valve? Is it just cut the old hose and pop them in the new valve? I would appreciate any guidance here.

But, It's more likely to be a loose connection or a crack in the tubing You'll need to check that before replacing anything. There's a little bit more to replacing the fill valve than you stated, but you're on the right track. Good Luck,

Joe. Thanks for the reply. After several tests I have determined it is definitely the valve... I'll order one here and check back once I have it for any tips on installing it.

I have received the part for the frig. Do I just cut the old hoses and then plug them into the new part as well as connect the connectors to the new part and then install it? Is it more complicated than that? It's part # AP319262.

Papibo, I guess you mean the water valve AP3192626. Yes, you are correct. Cut the tubes, make sure they're cut straight and , clear any burrs, and inert the ends into the fittings as far in as they will go, tug out on them, lightly, to make sure they are locked in place. Your process is the same as mine, make all the connections, and then check for leaks , then mount the valve to the frame . You're doing great,
