I am trying to determine if my element is bad. I have removed the element and it shows no sign of defect The elements resistance is 17.3 ohms. I have checked the power going to the element and have 230 volts. What else can I do to make a determination?
I forgot, the original problem, the element is getting hot, but not enough to function properly.

if you are getting 230 to element it should get red. if not replace it
