while the ice maker is turned on, no water is being dispensed. I have a green light and made sure that the water line is not clogged. Furthermore, I replaced the dual solenoid. In the beginning I had small spurts of water coming out of the spout when activating the ice maker switch, but that has stopped also. How can I identify the defective part?

Do you have water from the water dispenser? How old is the water filter?

I replaced the filter approx. 2 months ago and the water dispenser works just fine. I had an issue with the water dispenser before, but replacing the filter took care of the issue.

Turn the ice maker "off", wait a few minutes and turn it back "on". During the first 15 seconds that power is applied to the ice maker, enter the service diagnostic test mode by pushing the feeler arm from the “out” position to the “in” position and back again 3 times and only 3 times within 15 seconds. The service diagnostic mode consists of a harvest cycle followed by a water fill. The water fill cycle will initiate the first fill (5.1 seconds). Post the results. Gene.

1st attempt: arm rotates once completely and an additional 270 degrees. green light starts blinking. no ice.
2nd attempt: one full rotation. no water.
3rd attempt: full rotation. ice cube bowl is filled with water.
I'll check, if cubes are being ejected and bowl is filled again.
Thanks.

If it would happen again then the ice maker has to be replaced. This electronic ice maker had a lot of problems and GE recently introduced a new electromechanical ice maker instead of this one. - The part number for the new ice maker is AP4345120 Gene.

ice cubes are not being dispensed, that probably means that I would have to replace the ice maker.
