Hope someone can help!
I've read through and am not making much progress.. , basically just won't start.

check the thermal fuse , seems to be ok as far as I can tell, getting continuity between the two posts at least..

there's another part below it that I can't determine what it is, but there's no continuity between the two "purple wire" posts, not sure if there is supposed to be , or if someone can tell me what it is.
Just to be sure i'm looking at the right thing, am also attaching what I believe to be my thermal fuse.

Thanks !

Three things primarily keep that dryer from coming on. No Power, a bad thermal fuse, or a bad door switch. Kill the power, and jump out the thermal fuse first. Then see if it works. If not, kill the power, and put the wires back on. Then pull the lint filter out of the top of the dryer and remove the 2 phillip head screws, and then, pop the top up and rest it on the back wall. Un hook the molex plug from the door switch. Then get a wire about 6 inches long, and strip back the ends on both sides, and then when you look at the inside of the moles end that plugs into the door switch, stick one end on one end, and the other on the other end, leaving the middle hole alone, and then plug the dryer in and see if it works.
