I have a Bosch dishwasher that I purchased four years ago. The soap tray dispenser is not popping open during the cycle. I don't know if I need a new spring, or I need to replace the whole tray. The item # is SHU33A02UC
How do I fix this?

Where do I find the model number? Is it 1150-C3

When you close the soap cap does it stay closed?
When you released the latch manually did the lid slide to the right?

What you called "the item#" is the model number.

Hello,

I have a Bosch dishwasher, and the soap trap doesn't pop all the way open. It kind of unlocks during the cycle but the tray doesn't open completely. I ordered the Bosch Tripping Device, Part #166630.

I replaced the spring, but I don't know how to replace the two other parts in the bag. Do I have to take the door off? Is the spring supposed to attach to the latch somehow.

I'm doing my best to fix this myself, I'm just a little lost how to do this. I'm guessing I have the right part. Help!

If the door lever is not broken, you do not have to replace it.

Connect spring to door & dispenser housing posts.
While keeping spring attached to posts, carefully slide door onto housing --making sure door tabs engage dispenser door rails.
Door levers don’t need to be preset during installation.

If you want the most accurate advice, you have to answer on my questions. If you prefer to do a diagnosis by yourself, it's up to you!

Is there a picture how to do this? I don't quite understand. Maybe I'm not connecting the spring right. What questions do you have so that I can answer them?

Gene,

I have the same problem. The door stays closed during the cycle and does not pop open. When I release the latch manually the door slides to the right. When I close the door it stays closed.

My model # is 3032UC/14

When you close the soap cap does it stay closed?
When you released the latch manually did the lid slide to the right?

Check the detergent actuator as described in the troubleshooting manual (page 7) from one of our previous posts: http://forum.appliancepartspros...troubleshoot-manual.html

If the reading is correct then the timer has to be replaced.

If the reading is wrong then the dispenser is bad.

I'm assuming the beginning of the model number, which is missing in your post, is "SHU" and here are the break down diagrams for the Bosch dishwasher Model SHU3032 UC/12 (FD 8003-)

- The part number for the dispenser is AP3844311

- The part number for the timer is AP2804302

Hi Gene, I have just the opposite problem. My door will not stay closed. I am assuming I have to replace the blue latch. I was wondering if you might have any repair instructions (I found one that shows how to replace the entire assembly but not how to take one apart and replace just the latch and spring). Can you help please?
