The frig section was warm. The damper was closed. I took the damper out and let it run over night. The freezer was at set point 4 degrees. The frig was 30. How can I tell if I have a bad damper, board or sensor?

If the damper door moves and is not busted from the motor, it's probably ok. I would replace the fresh food thermisters. Usually two, maybe only one. Check your service sheet to confirm. If that fails to fix it, replace the motherboard in the back. You can get your part #'s from this parts site.

I checked the vdc at the plug in to the damper motor. There is no change in voltage at any set point. The digital read outs seems to be accurate for the freezer and frig. Would you still suspect a sensor problem or the mother board only?

That is a digital system, damper is pulsed open, then closed, not an analog system. I would replace items as mentioned, but I must agree it seems like a bad motherboard unless one thermistor is way off value.
