The dishwasher runs and never drains (even when I manually cancel/drain). I removed the control module and found a significant burn thru the board near a solenoid? My question are : Should I just replace the control module and not worry about it? Is this a common failure ? Should I dig deeper to find what caused it ? If more troubleshooting is required what and how (please)?
Thanks

Hi jshoe01 At this time I would just replace the control board. This is not a common failure for the Bosch dishwasher. I would check the resistance though the drain motor terminals. It suppose to be about 16 Ohms. - Here are the complete troubleshooting instructions for the Bosch dishwasher Model SHU5306 UC/12 (FD 8003-)- The part number for the new control board AP2802870 Also I would recommend you to check all replies posted by our Bosch guru "loadster". Good luck. Gene.

Thanks Gene,
*If* the drain pump is bad, could that cause the solenoid to fry ?

Good luck. Gene. Perhaps this is not common, however, I have the same symptoms; cycle will not end, but only will drain on cancel-- I have a burned-through pin on the PCB also. On one of the relays. Tried filling with solder, no joy...

In such situation the correction is to replace the control module. If you need the correct part number then post the complete model number of the dishwasher.
Gene.

I called the toll free number and gave them the model number--it's not one of the covered models in the recall--however they are covering the parts. Thanks
