The spin cycle on my Whirlpool washing machine is not working. I found black rubber shavings and a black rubberring about 1/2 inch thickk and has a center hole of a little more than 1/2 inch with outer poprtion looking worn away, underneath the machine and I'm assuming that's the cause. Any ideas?

You have a busted motor coupler. Go to web site www.applianceaid.com for replacement info.

The scetch on this site showing the motor coupler looks like there are 3 of them...are there 3 of them on the motor? I need to order the part(s) and not sure if I should get one or 3. Thanks, Val

A three piece set, one you pound on the motor shaft, the other you pound on the tranny shaft and the black rubber piece goes between them. I use a socket extension to tap them on.
