My Jenn-air double walloven's touch pad lighted information display screen does not work. This display screen normally displays the time and also the temperature setting when the oven is turned on. The oven works fine and the heat temperature can be regulated, but the LED (?) display screen does not display any information. I believe that I have to replace a part refered to as the "electronic clock/oven control", part #AP367514. Does this sound correct and are there any other related or attached parts that should be replaced at the same time? Thanks for your thoughts!

Robert,
Most likely the display board has to be replaced.
I'm not able to provide the right part number because the model number you posted does not come up. Verify and repost it, please.
Gene.

Gene. Gene, Thanks for your reply. I have double checked the Model# and I've corrected it, it's WW27430P. I have entered the model # in the appliance parts pros parts ordering website and it does acknowledge that the number is correct. I also believe that it is the display board. Do you know if the repair process is simply to unplug the old and plug in the new display board, or are there other parts that should be replaced as well? Thanks again. Robert

Robert, You missed "0" when you posted the model number first time. The display board (aka clock) is not too difficult to replace yourself. Remove a few screws, holding the control panel. Unplug the touch pad ribbon from the clock. Remove the four screws, holding the clock. Remove the wires and/or plugs from the old clock (one at a time) and connect them to the new one. - The part number for the display board is AP367514 Here are the break down diagrams for the Jenn Air oven Model WW27430PGene.

Gene. Gene, Received the display board, installed it and it works fine. Now I find that one or two of the touch pad icons (like, bake, broil) are fairly hard to push to turn it on (they were fine with the old display board). Is this a new touch pad problem or could it have something to do with the way I connected the touch pad ribbon (should I disconnect the ribbon and reconnect until the touch pad functions easier)? Thanks, Robert

Hi Robert,
Unplug the ribbon, clean it using an eraser and plug it back. Make sure it plugged all the way in.
Gene.

Gene. Gene, I have followed your directions, repeating them several times. Each time the results seem to improve, with only 1 or 2 buttons not responding unless pressed hard, while other times the same 1 or 2 buttons won't work at all. I also am making sure that the ribbon is plugged in all the way. Currently, I have reached a point where only the Bake button on the touch pad is very hard to push on ( I actually have to hold it down fairly long - 5 seconds). The remaining buttons work fine. Perhaps I need to continue playing around with cleaning and plugging in the ribbon, or maybe just get a new touch pad. Any further thoughts? Thanks again for your help! Robert
