The Dryer stopped heating So I checked the continuity of parts and found the thermal cut-off didn't have any. I ordered the part from you guys in which it also came with the high limit thermostat. I replaced both and it worked for one load then quit heating again. The thermal cut-off now again has no continuity. I made sure the vent was clear both inside and out after replacing the part. No obstructions. Inside the dryer it says this could be caused by a short in the heating element. Can it have a short and still have continuity? How do you check for a short in the heating element? What other steps should I take as to find out the cause of the thermal cut-off activation?

Thank You

Rans,

Normal resistance reading of the heating element should be 7.8 - 11.8 Ohms. If it's close to zero, the heating element is shorted and will blow the the thermal cut-off.
