Hello, From reading responses to my very problem I assume I need to replace the dryer belt. My dryer starts/heats but will not spin. Is this an easy repair? I have never repaired an appliance before. Thanks

Piece of cake. Unplug dryer. Remove two screws located at lint filter housing. use putty knife to press clips under top, 1 at each side of the front and lift top back. Remove 2 bolts (5/16), 1 on either side. pivot front down and lift off bottom tabs. If careful you can remove front and pivot out of your way w/o removing wires for door switch. If the idler pulley has fallen it fits into 2 slots in front fo the motor. Slide new belt over the drum with the ribs facing down. make sure the belt isn't twisted. Hold idler pulley. pinch belt and pull under the idler pulley wheel. put the piece of the belt you are still holding around the motor pulley. If done correctly the ribbed side of the belt will be wrapped around the motor pulley. Once the belt is on turn the drum by hand a couple times to make sure the belt won't pop off once back together. Put everything back together and start your laundry. Don't forget to give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done. Good luck.
