washer is staying on final spin cycle.(on any selection made on switch)

Check the wiring for any type of break, short or frayed part between the control panel and the motor. Also clean and reseat the contacts at both the control panel end and the motor end.
If this does not fix it I think replacing that control panel would be the next step, but you would be doing it on speculation as GE does not publish and allow access to its tech documentation.
Look inside the console and you may find some documentation that will allow you to trouble shoot it better.
