This washer works fine until its time for the spin cycle, somtimes its spins sometimes not. I spun the tub by hand when it wouldnt start spinning on its own, and it took off and spun the clothes. What would be causing this problem? Thank you so much for help.

It is possible you have a major problem in your brake/transmission area, but more likely is that replacing the thrust bearing will solve the problem. Here is the part, and instructions are included. Part number: AP4009132
