A few weeks ago the fridge started getting too warm then a few days ago the freezer did the same and yesterday they both went to 60 degrees. I inputed my model # into search but am not getting a breakdown diagram. Any input would be appreciated, the fridge guy is supposed to be here at 2:00, but if I could fix that would be better.

Here is the tech sheet.
http://manuals.frigidaire.com/p...f/Anderson/240389610.pdf

Sounds like it could be a defrost problem.
Remove the evaporator cover in the freezer so you can see the coils.
If they are heavily iced/frosted over then it is probably a defrost problem.
Could be the adaptive defrost board, the defrost heater or the defrost thermostat.

Try forcing a defrost cycle (see the tech sheet), if it defrosts then it is probably the board that is shot. Be careful do not burn your fingers.

If not it could be one of the other components.
Note the above test does not totally rule out that the board is OK.

Here are a couple good sites with additional fridge repair help

Thank you for the fast response. The fridge has been off since yesterday, I plugged it in and am not getting cold air. I forced the defrost and it makes the urrr noise that it did when it stopped cooling. So now I need to find the defrost things and test it.

The defrost heater tested at 000 ohms same with sensor. So is there a way to test defrost control or is this a replace item?

Forcing the defrost does not make the defrost heater change temp, I seem to be confusing myself more and more.

Might be best to wait for the repair person as you seem to be under the gun and this is not something you want to rush.

Guy said it was compressor, doesn't seem like a 6 year old fridge should crap out like that. Thanks for links though.

Used to be the sealed system (compressor, etc) had anywhere from 10 to 20 year warranties but the manufactures decided this was too long so now it is normally 5 years.

The change was definitely not made because compressors are more reliable.
