The timer on our maytag electric dryer will not advance no matter which setting it is on. Cleaned all the duct work, still not working. Replaced the start switch, timer and buzzer since it quit working also and the new timer still does not avdance. Wherever you set it to, it stays there until you manually turn it off. What am I overlooking or what else needs replaced to solve this issue? Thanks for any help.

Well I am as mystified as you must be. If the machine operates and the timer does not advance in any cycle, including no heat I can only conclude that either your replacement timer is also bad or that there is a problem in the wiring to the timer.

Finally found the reply from sidfink43. My wife used the dryer today and it worked great on timed dry cycle. Plenty of heat and everything worked as it should. It always heats great and gets clothes dry the timer just decides not to work. Should I go ahead and replace both thermostats? What do you think? Thanks alot for your input.
