Here are your parts includes the wiring diagram Replacement parts for MAYTAG PYE4558AYW | AppliancePartsPros.comCould be the thermal fuse, Item 5 in the "Heater" section. Should be 0 ohms at room temperature. Be sure to remove one wire from it when you check it so you do not read an alternate/parallel circuit path. Note it comes with a new high limit as the high limit should have been regulating the temperature preventing the fuse from blowing. If the fuse is OK then the door switch would be next. If the fuse is blown check/clean your vent system. Also clean the interior including the blower wheel. Check that the seals in the unit are OK. You are pulling air over the heating element and through the drum so a large air leak will pull in cold air, this will then cause the cycling thermostat which is on the blower to run the dryer hotter than it should. Might as well also check your rear support rollers, idler roller, front glides and belt for wear and slop. Basically an overhaul. |
