Washer stops at rinse cycle and just hums. I can turn the dial to spin and it still spins. How do I fix it? or do I replace it. I just had a new dryer delivered this morning and 15 minutes later the washer misbehaves!

prehaps the cold water side of water inlet valve is defective .do you have it set at warm wash +cold rinse. if so set water selector switch to warm wash +warm rinse .see what happens

I had that aha moment earlier and discovered that because the washer had to be moved in order to attach the dryer vent, the installer had turned off the water and neglected to turn the cold water back on. Boy, did I feel silly for not checking that! Thanks for your response, at least I don't have to buy a new washer.
