About a month ago the water stopped circulating while agitating. Now it does not agitate or spin. The water does drain. Have never had a problem with it before. I have tipped it over. Now what?

This is a pretty old machine, at least 15 years and probably more so I would think the time has come to consider thanking it for all its service and retiring it.

There are several things which could cause your problem. If you want to take a look at a repair, here is a site on checking out the older GE type washers.

The belt was broken. I replaced it and it works, except it does not recirculate the water into the filter flo. Got any ideas?

I bought the GE washer\dryer set in the mid 80's. Have only had to replace the belt on each one!!

Well, great, glad that was all it was and glad you got it working. I did not mean to imply those are bad machines, they are not, but if you had to make a major repair you would want to think about it before spending the money.

I do not know about the recirculation, but maybe someone else will respond to that issue.

Good luck, and thanks for the update.
