Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 9/9/2009(UTC) Posts: 3		My Jennair had some random meat probe plug in error beeps and after a few months of those, it has a F-1 8 error. I called Jennair and they said it is a short of the membrane switch. I think I see the part on your site (AP4094865). My question is: If I purchase the part, is it pretty easy to replace or do I need to call a technician. If I can do it, are there instructions that come with the part... Thanks Prashant

You can find the instructions in the Service manual. Most likely the problem is a bad membrane switch which is a part of the control panel, but there is a small chance for the control board (aka a clock) to be bad as well. Here are the breakdown diagrams for the Jenn Air range Model JES9860AAW Gene.
