Hi Gene...I ordered and replaced both hinges and the door closed perfectly.....for a couple of weeks and now the original problem is back (not closing all the way) I removed the door and made sure that the hinges were solidly seated..they were. Could those springs wear out that fast...I am baffled...sorry to be a pest. ??????????

I understand your feelings. Unfortunately the problem becomes more complicated. You have to check the hinge receptacles (#3 on the diagram) and in order to do it you have to remove the oven from the cabinet and remove the side panels.

I am having the same problem....how did you resolve this issue??? Should I keep dumping money into the oven? My Whirlpool appliance repairman loves me! HE said Whirlpool told him there were issues with the hinges..I called Whirlpool and they didn't have any record of hinge issues for this model????

I am planning on ordering the hinge receptacles. working on the oven has been very easy with the help of Gene here on the forum.Like all things we don't do every day, projects like this have to be approached with the right attitude and I try not to be in a hurry! Good luck with yours stacsor!

I\Ordered the hings receptacles....quite a job but I took my time...the only challenge was that the door hit the oven door latch so I bent it a little and all is well. As always..Thanks Gene!

You are welcome. I'm glad you were able to fix it.
