Dryer comes on and turns but won't heat. I have taken back panel off and cleaned the vent and checked the fan. Please help with the next step.
Thanks in advance

let me help you out here. this is a everyday problem with your dryer. unplug the dryer, and take the back off. it will either be the element is broken, or there is a thermal fuse mounted on the top left side of the element housing, it is round and has 2 wires coming to it. or, your breaker is partially tripped. go outside, and flip the dryer breaker off an on a few times, and then see if it heats. if you have any questions, let me know. tom www.applianceeducator.com/parts.htm:cool:

The small limit on the top(300F) will blow if the duct is stopped up

The bottom fuse is its cousin(250F), they are partners in crime.

When one fails both are bad and both come in a kit. The dryer

will however run even if these guys are open(bad).

There you go, give them pictures. Something other then a link, for these people to figure it out on there own. Guy's need to take a little more effort here with the help. If I had all day, and no job, I would help them all. ApplianceEducator.com
