I find it amazing that the exact same problem has two different parts to fix it. Why can't appliance manufacturers quit making junk? A very few pennys spent on making circuits that are not cheap and these things would last a long time. unfortunately it is in their best interest to have us buy a new one when the warranty runs out.

Open the control panel and verify the control panel ribbon cable connection to the control board. If there is nothing wrong then the control panel or the control board might be defective. Gene.

My dishwasher did the same thing again. Then the next day the cancel button quit working, too. I now have absolutely nothing working.
