Help wall was rotting. We didn't know that it was leaking from the top where it goes into the icemaker. The clamp wasn't doing the job anymore. It became worse after a birthday party when all the ice in the icemaker was used up and the icemaker quit working. My theory more water came out the back because it had nowhere to go. Please help we turned off the water supply and cleaned up the mold. My husband had seen a leak before and pulled out the refrig but it was nothing like what we found tonight thatfinally led us to the source. We took the hose loose and tried to push it back in but it still leaked how do we get a new part to connect the hose back so it won't leak?

What you could try, providing you still have some length on the 1/4" water line is this...Make sure the ice maker fill tube is not frozen (remove if necessary to check) pulls out through back of fridge. Cut an inch off the plastic water line that pushes into the fill tube. Go to local hardware store or Home Depot. Buy a 1/4" copper tube compression fitting that has a plastic water line insert in the package. It looks like a small copper tube with a flared end that gets inserted into the end of the plastic tube to stop it from getting squashed or distorted when tightening up the clamp and install it back into the fill tube and tighten clamp. Good Luck.
