Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/19/2008(UTC) Posts: 3		I have a GE Eterna Side by Side Fridge. ess25lgnaCC model. Fridge and freezer are hot. Fridge is getting power. Interior light is working, Freezer light is intermittent. No airflow inside freezer or fridge area. It is not frozen up, removed interior back panel of freezer. lower fan in bottom back is on and blowing. compressor does not seem to be vibrating or humming. Any idea of what I should test / check or replace? Thanks, Bobby

I would start by checking the main board at the back behind the access cover. Look at the 2 capacitors below the transformer on the top right hand side, are the tops round or look bad compared to the others, Take the board off, and look at the back, do you see any burn marks?

Looked at the Board. Nothing on the front looked bad. On the back there is one solder that looks burnt. It seems to be going to the black square thing (I think it is a relay, says 12VDC and 20A). Removed the board to find a burn on one contact (also the 12 VDC - 20A). I'm curious what would cause this to burn out. Would it also make sense to replace the PTCR (PTCR RELAY) or overload on the compressor as well? Thanks, Angus

I have a little burn mark as well where the black relay is attached, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. Did you replace the relay as well? If so, how did you detach it?
