I ordered the replacement part for the water valve/Dispenser/NTC/Short Tube. There are three locking plugs in the water valve harness that connect to part I need to replace.

I've found the repair manual online, and it simply notes that these are locking plugs. I can see that there is a small ridge that is part of the locking mechanism, but even after lifting the plug away from that ridge, these three plugs do not want to come off.

I'm hesitant to apply too much force trying to remove them.

Does anyone know if there is a "trick" to disconnecting the locking plugs from the part so that I can replace the part?

Check if there is another locking tab on the bottom of the plug. If not then just lift up the locking tab and pull the plug out.

You can find the instructions in the Service manual (this link would not last long - copy it to your comp).
